DESCRIPTION:

800 MW Natural Gas Fired, Combined Cycle Generation Plant consisting of two (2) gas turbine generators exhausting into two-three pressure Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG’S) supplying steam to a single reheat steam turbine generator.

Plant consists of the following systems that are controlled via the Distributed Control System.

  • (2) Gas Turbine (Mitsubishi 701F’s) – Limited Control
  • (1) Steam Turbine (Mitsubishi) – Limited Control
  • (2) Heat Recovery Steam Generators (NEM)
  • (3) Hydrogen Cooled Generators – one coupled with each Turbine
  • (2) Duct Burners
  • (1) 36-cell Air-Cooled Condensor (Hamon Europe)
  • Export Steam Systems, HP & IP
  • Electrical power export and power factor control
  • All Balance of Plant Systems – Condensate, Feedwater, Circ. Water, Mechanical Auxiliaries, etc.

CONTROL EQUIPMENT:

Siemens-Moore Process Automation Solutions APACS DCS with the following components:

  • (3) Dual Screen Operator Stations
  • Dual Screen Supervisor Station
  • Dual Screen Engineering Station
  • Redundant I/O servers

  Dedicated Historian Server

  (9) Redundant Advanced Controller Module Pairs

  (9) Remote cabinets to handle specific areas of the plant.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Auto Plant Start  (APS  -  ie. “One-Button” Sequence Start-up)

Integral redundant datalinks to the three (3) MHI turbine control systems, water treatment         system, auxiliary boilers, and continuous emissions monitoring (CEMS) system.

GPS Time Synchronization
