DESCRIPTION:

Replacement control system and plant data acquisition system including:

Combustion, Feedwater and Misc. control systems for (2) existing B&W Boilers.

Powerhouse Data Acquisition System.

Plant control strategy designed to:

Satisfy Mill and Powerhouse requirements for 325 psi steam.

Maximize Blast Furnace Gas (BFG) utilization.

Minimize Natural Gas useage.

 

CONTROL EQUIPMENT:

Allen-Bradley SLC500 PLC with the following components:

5/04 Processor

136 Total I/O Supplied: 40 AI 16 AO 32 DI 48 TC

(2) – Gateway 2000, PC’s with W95 Operating System and RSView HMI software

 

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Conventional Panelboards replaced with CRT based control and information displays

ACS designed control strategy with fully documented SAMA, and Module wiring drawings
