DESCRIPTION:

50 MW Natural Gas/Unrefined Natural Gas (DGZ) Fired, Simple Cycle Cogeneration plant, consisting of 2 gas turbine/generators exhausting into 2 dual pressure Heat Recovery System Generators (HRSG’s), supplying steam to a common steam header.

Plant consists of the following systems that are controlled via the Distributed Control System.

  • (2) Gas Turbine/Generators -LM2500 (Stewart & Stevenson) – Limited Control
  • (2) Heat Recovery Steam Generators (Applied Thermal Systems)
  • Electrical System Monitoring
  • Export Steam System @ 150 KPPH, 520 PSIG, 600F
  • All Balance of Plant Systems – Condensate, Feedwater, Fuels, Mechanical Auxiliaries, etc.

CONTROL EQUIPMENT:

Leeds+Northrup MAX 1000 DCS with the following components:

  • (3) Work Stations including:
  • (5) Real-Time Processors
  • (5) Graphics Processors with Touch-screen (OPS)
  • (2) Application Processors (EWS & Hist)
  • (4) Redundant Distributed Processing Unit (DPU) Pairs
  • (4) Non-Redundant Distributed Processing Units (DPU’s) for various link interfaces
  • 751 Total I/O Supplied: 210 AI 64 AO 176 DI 96 DO 120 TC 21 RTD 64 SOE

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Supply SAMA Functional Loop Drawings with DCS Software Addressing RS232C Communication Links to interface with the following systems:

  • (2) NETCON 5000/Modbus links to Gas Turbines
  • (2) Allen-Bradley PLC links for Duct Burner Controls
  • (1) Allen-Bradley PLC link for Water Treatment Control
