DESCRIPTION: 49.9 MW Waste Coal Fired Cogeneration Plant. Plant consists of the following systems that are controlled via the Distributed Control System Circulating fluidized bed boiler (PyroPower) including BMS and P.A. Duct Burners Steam Turbine/Generator (GEC Alsthom) All Controls Electrical System Monitoring All Balance of Plant systems; Condensate, Feedwater, Fuels, Mechanical Auxiliaries, etc. CONTROL EQUIPMENT: Leeds & Northrup MAX 1 DCS with the following components: (2) Operator Stations (1) Operator Station Second Screen (5) Auto Backup Controller File Pairs (1) Single Controller File 1542 Total I/O Supplied: 330 AI 88 AO 592 DI 336 DO 140 TC 40 RTD 16 PI SPECIAL FEATURES: Boiler Monitoring Console supplied by ACS which included drum level, soot blower, programmable recorders, drum safety relief valves and annunciator.
Turbine/Generator Console supplied by ACS which included safety trip switching, generator breaker switching, generator synchronization control, turbine governor control, vibration indication and programmable recorders. 128 Point – SOE Recorder
