DESCRIPTION:

48 MW Natural Gas fired, Simple Cycle Cogeneration plant consisting of a single gas turbine generator exhausting into a three pressure Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) supplying steam to an ammonia chiller.

Plant consists of the following systems that are controlled via the Distributed Control System.
  • Gas Turbine/Generator (Stewart & Stevenson LM5000) – Limited Control
  • Heat Recovery Steam Generator (Vogt)
  • Fuel Gas Compressors
  • Ammonia Absorption Chiller Unit
  • Auxiliary Boiler
  • Duct Burner System
  • SCR System – (Mitsubishi)
  • Electrical System Monitoring with integral SOE
  • All Balance of Plant Systems – Cooling Water, Feedwater, Mechanical Auxiliaries, etc.

CONTROL EQUIPMENT:

Leeds+Northrup MAX 1 DCS with the following components:
  • (2) Operator Stations
  • (3) Auto Backup Controller File Pairs
  • (1) Distributed Processing Unit (DPU) for SOE
  • 839 Total I/O Supplied: 150 AI 40 AO 384 DI 128 DO 75 TC 14 RTD 16 PI 32 SOE
