CRA SERVICES / GLENN SPRINGS HOLDINGS INC. "S" AREA - OCCIDENTAL CHEMICAL SITE in Niagara Falls, New York, USA
DESCRIPTION: The "S" Area site was originally a Toshiba PLC system, with hard-wired panelboards, a local PC for graphics and reports, and there was an operator always in attendance. With the consolidation of personnel, the intention was to remote control/monitor the site using the local area maintenance group. The existing Citect HMI graphic screens were converted into the Intellution format and the existing panelboards were emulated for complete remote monitoring. This emulation included new and existing PID controllers, pump control stations, and 3 annunciators with audible signals.
CONTROL EQUIPMENT: Remote Dial-in over a dedicated phone line Toshiba software and firmware upgrades (7) New Toshiba PID Controllers (replaced stand-alone Moore Controllers) Application Software including: Toshiba I/O Driver Software (2) Operator Stations (Gateway 2000 NT PC’s) with Intellution FIX32 HMI Software (1) Local Operator Station (1) Remote Operator Station
