DESCRIPTION: The North Tonawanda site was originally a hard-wired system and there was a staff on-site. With the demolition of the rest of the Durez facility, the intention was to remote control/monitor the site with the local area maintenance personnel. Major equipment that was programmed for this site includes: Collection Sumps Trench System Lift Stations Chemical Separators Retention Tanks Water Filters Carbon Absorption (Treatment) Discharge System There was a dedicated 56K phone line installed to Hyde Park; from which any of the graphic screens could be viewed.
CONTROL EQUIPMENT: Allen Bradley PLC 5/20 Processor with: Ethernet Communications 180 Total I/O Supplied: 64 AI 4 AO 80 DI 32 DO Application Software including: AI Series Programming Software RSLinx Communications Software (2) Operator Stations (Gateway 2000 NT PCs) with Intellution FIX32 HMI Software
SPECIAL FEATURES: ACS supplied some transmitters and other field equipment. Field engineering was necessary to trace wiring and then to terminate the existing system into the new PLC system. |
